Ladysmith A&W BIRTHDAY ROD RUN

Birthday Rod Run!

The September 24th event has been postponed one week due to the rain.

Thursday, October 1 @ 6:00 p.m. The Rod Run is back! On Thursday, October 1 @ 6:00 p.m. to coincide with Jason's birthday, we will have a "rolling start" at the corner of Grouhel Road and Christie Road, just off the Grouhel road turnoff from the Highway. Stop and get your piece of birthday cake as you turn onto Christie Road! There will be no gathering at the A&W beforehand - please proceed to the Grouhel Road exit from the southbound Highway at 6:00 p.m. Feel free to grab dinner before or after the Rod Run from our drive-through. If you want to get food from the drive-through beforehand, please do so with enough time to spare, maybe 5:00 p.m.

Crown Isle Resort Cruise

Thank you to Ross for forwarding me this email that was sent out by Crown Isle recognizing the amazing turnout for last weekend's cruise. Ross is responsible for organizing the annual car show at Crown Isle but due to the pandemic this year's show had to be altered. He did an amazing job organizing the cruise. And Lyndon and I are very flattered that Crown Isle included the link to our album on vihr.ca as part of their message. Thank you for the recognition! :) ♥

Thank you for a fantastic
3rd Annual Romeo St. Jacques Memorial!

What a turnout! Last Saturday, July 25th, we welcomed 250+ cars to the streets of Crown Isle for an epic cruise around the Comox Valley. A wide selection of vintage cars and trucks (plus a few newer models) lined up down Crown Isle Drive on a bluebird summer day for the cruise. It was amazing to see the community turn out all along the route to cheer the cars on. We at Crown Isle want to thank all our participants for taking part in this fun event.

In the charitable tradition of the Romeo St. Jacques Memorial, we collected donations online and in person to benefit the Comox Valley Child Development Association. Over $900 has been raised so far, and there is still an opportunity to donate if you are able.

We are currently compiling a video edit of all the livestreams we did - stay tuned for the highlights. For some fantastic photos from the day, check out Vancouver Island Hot Rods Flickr album.
